Franchise Disclosure Document

If you're serious about becoming a Farmer, you need the facts. The Franchise Disclosure Document contains detailed information about the Area 2 Farms franchise system, including initial investment requirements, Franchise Agreement terms, obligations and restrictions, and litigation and bankruptcy history.

Who Should Request This

This document is for you if:

  • You've read our worldview and it aligns with yours.

  • You're ready to commit 10+ years to owning a neighborhood farm.

  • You have capital available for the initial investment.

  • You're prepared to review legal and financial details with your own advisors.

  • You want to make an informed decision based on facts, not assumptions.

This document is not for you if:

Request the Franchise Disclosure Document

The FDD is a legal document. Take your time. Ask questions. This is a 10-year commitment, not a 90-day trial.

Submit the request form below. Every request is individually reviewed and approved before the FDD is sent. You'll receive a DocuSign email with the FDD and the required Receipts once approved — typically within 2 business days.

The FDD is provided at no cost to qualified candidates.

Common Questions

Q: How long do I have to review it? As long as you need. Federal franchise law requires that at least 14 calendar days pass between the date you receive the FDD and the date you sign any Franchise Agreement or pay any money. The 14-day count begins the day after you receive the FDD.

Q: Can I share the FDD with my lawyer or accountant? Yes. We encourage you to have qualified legal and financial advisors review it.

Q: Who will I be working with? Oren Falkowitz (Founder & CEO) and Jacqueline Martin lead franchise discussions. They are identified as the Franchise Sellers on your FDD Receipt.

Q: What if I'm not ready to request the FDD yet? Read "Before You Apply" or schedule an exploratory call first. The FDD request is a serious step — treat it as one.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You own and operate a neighborhood farm as critical infrastructure. You're not just "buying a franchise".

You own the farm. You own the customer relationships. Area 2 Farms provides the competitive advantages: organic certification systems, operational technology, brand, and a network of expert peer farmers solving the same problems you are.

  • No, but you need operational fluency. The best Farmers come from backgrounds where execution was the job.

If you've managed a P&L or led a team, we can train the ag-specific knowledge. If you haven't, this will be harder than you think.

  • The economics work because the farm is the distribution. You're not competing on price; you're competing on proximity and quality.

Direct-to-consumer only. No wholesale. No middlemen. 100% of revenue stays between you and your customers.

Land-as-infrastructure. Farms move to consumers, not the other way around. This solves the "last mile" problem that kills most food businesses.

  • Total Investment Range: $308,471 - $471,000

This covers your franchise agreement, site development, equipment, organic certification, and working capital for the first 3 months.

The exact investment depends on site characteristics and local market conditions. We provide a detailed breakdown during your discovery call after we've evaluated your specific geography and goals.

  • Yes. We insist on it. You need to see the infrastructure, taste the product, and meet the team. This is an essential part of our selection process.
